As part of the Simon Malls’s GamePlay tour, my local mall had a demo kiosk for M&S London Olympics and Sonic Generations. For whatever reason, they didn’t have Sonic Generations running, but they promised it’d be available tomorrow, so I’ll be checking that out soon. For now, here’s my playthrough of a few of the games the 3rd M&S has to offer, annoying commentary and all. Sorry for the shaky cam, as it was being recorded through a phone.

The video consists of three stamps parts: 1- First Olympic (1896) The first modern Olympic Games were held in Athens in April 1896, and Greece issued a series of twelve stamps to mark the occasion. The designs selected by Professor C. Svoronos and created the Swiss Professor A. Guilleron., were based on ancient Greek art and architecture connected with the games. Engraver: E. Mouchon 2-First Greek (1861) The first Greek stamps depicting the head of the postman of the gods Hermes. Released in 1861, designed by Albert Barre and printed in France. 3-And a booster ¨Olympic Games 1906¨ The Olympic Games 1906 in Athens, organized to commemorate the anniversary of the revival of the institution in Athens in 1896. The significant value of these games is that backed the dangerous battered institution after the debacle in Paris (1900) and St. Louis (1904), not only for the low turnout, but also for the conversion to international fairs and exhibitions which acknowledged the Coubertin, not hiding his disappointment. The races in 1906 were crowned with success and one of the grounds for issuing commemorative stamps were to be raised internationally as Greece’s ability to hold world-class quality sports activities.
