Part Spirit Bear, a rare white bear unique to BC, Miga’s outgoing spirit and high energy draw her to action and adventure. Quatchi the Sasquatch : Quatchi, a shy and gentle giant, is a sasquatch; a popular figure in local native legends of the Pacific West Coast. Mukmuk, the mascot sidekick, is considered an honourary member of the team and enjoys surprising his friends by popping up on occasion to share in the spirit and fun of the Games. Mukmuk gets his name from the word muckamuck, Chinook jargon for food, because he loves to eat when he’s not playing with his mascot friends.

@gmart1234 yea him
I am actually embarrassed that these mascots were used to represent British Columbia. Even more embarrassing is the use of the Inukshuk as the Vancouver 2010 logo. The logo should have been based around a native group that was actually FROM British Columbia, not from Nunavut. Nothing against the Inuit people, of course. I am just ashamed that everyone bought into it. Sure, it was Canada’s games, but they were held in B.C; in Vancouver. Am I alone here?
@jmcneilldrums I am embarrassed that people actually get to give their opinions about anything these days. They are cute little characters. People have to complain about everything these days. Oh this is not BC or that is not from this area. WHO CARES! I am so sick and tired of people complaining or saying this is offensive. Yeah. Whatever! Grow up!
@PAMMY1980 I think you should educate yourself, and perhaps remove your cranium from your posterior. Have a breadstick.
watch me vedios i have the miga an sumi show now parts 1 2 and 3
I love how most of the mascots barely represent BC XD BC mainly has rain, not snow
The logo has an inukshuk on it wtf?
I love Mukmuk!
@jmcneilldrums i am probably making a stupid comment cos I know nothing about Canada, I’m Australian
i guess it’s cos it’s winter olympics and so whoever was in charge decided that using that using these mascots and using that logo would suit the thing
i can relate to what you’re saying tho
cos whenever Australia designs a logo or smthg, we’ always acknowledge the aboriginies and the dry landscape
but the majority of Australia lives in the city and has never seen an aboriginal in real life.
@shingerE Yeah, in Canada its different because aboriginal people play a more important role in society. I think a lot of people, especially the aboriginal groups themselves wished for a more key role in the whole ”Olympic Experience”. I believe that their inclusion would have made the games more distinctly British Columbian. I’m sure the decision wasn’t well thought out simply because organizers assumed most foreign tourists couldn’t tell the difference anyways. I appreciate your comment!
@jmcneilldrums yeah
i love canada
like i’m really fascinated by it
cos my mum use to live there
and here in Australia, we don’t have snow
like you need to go into the mountains for snow
you don’t get snow in on your driveway for example
@Blooberry95 It makes me sick.
hehe “QUATCHIIIII”
@jmcneilldrums I initially thought that way about the inukshuk logo but the more I thought about it, the more I figured it really is a Canadian symbol, not just a northern one. If the maple leaf can represent Canada as a whole, why not a stone structure that symbolizes warmth and friendship? Works for me.
I love all the mascots though I think Sumi featured a bit too much random hybridization. Quatchi owns.
loool POKEMONS!!

mukmuk is so cute
@timtwoface I see what you’re saying, but at the same time the Inukshuk ISN’T a Canadian symbol, but rather a northern one. If a Canadian symbol was intended, something with the maple leaf would have been more appropriate. Considering the maple leaf flag was created to bridge a cultural gap, I consider that to be pretty much the only TRUE Canadian symbol. Unless of course olympic organizers had decided to choose something more local instead…
I think the BC mascot should have been a Sasquatch or a black bear.
miga is so cute
@jamjampacked so did i
@HelloWorld492 I would like to point out to the viewing public that this gentleman’s only video on youtube is a video of a mining event on Club Penguin. What does that tell you? It tells you everything. I am pretty sure no normal people play Club Penguin. Also, you are obviously a man of few big words and many short offensive ones. Don’t you have more crying to do about how meaningless your existence is, rather than butting in on things you obviously don’t understand? Good day to you.
the olympics got so old so fast
oh my gosh! I miss the olympics so much! Yes, some of you may say they got old really fast but I am proud of my country and I LOVE the winter olympics!
miga rocks
